$80 MOISTURISER?! I Put It To The Test...

If you follow me on the gram, you may know that i recently went on a trip to Bali and decided to bring along a new product to try out, this being the This Works 'Skin Deep Golden Elixir'. At first i had no idea what it really was, do you use it on your face? is it even a moisturiser? How do you even open this damn thing?! But i did some good old googling and it reassured me that it was indeed a moisturiser. A very luxurious serum that nourishes all skin types.

The first thing i noticed when trying it out was the smell...it's definitely not my favourite scent as i found it quite overpowering, but i'm hoping over time i'll just get used to it. From their website, it states that "antioxidant rose, moisturising patchouli, clary sage, and aloe vera" are blended together to create this serum, which would explain the scent.

The application process was super easy as the product is extremely lightweight and smooth. Since i was testing this out in Bali, i constantly felt sticky from the humidity, but this serum left me feeling silky and super smooth, a major plus in this hot weather. The consistency is a lot thinner/ lighter than a lot of other moisturisers on the market and is really easy to rub in (unlike body butters, which i find way too thick and takes a lot of effort to rub in the white creams). The best part about this product is that it leaves you with a complete goddess glow. As it's infused with 24 Carat Gold- it literally leaves you sparkling all over, which i particularly loved + it stimulates collagen!

The last thing i want to mention is the price, this is currently being sold on the Mecca Cosmetica website for $81 for 120mL. For me, i would definitely classify this as a high end/ luxury product and do i think its worth it? Apart from the smell, i really like this product- the lightweight consistency leaves my skin feeling really hydrated & nourished. So if you want that J Lo glow, then you better get your hands on this product ASAP!
